Location: Lakeshore Animal Health Partners in Mississauga, ON
Katie started her journey into veterinary medicine in her early years. At the early age of 6, she had decided pursuing veterinary medicine is what she wanted to do. From the age of 14, she dedicated herself to volunteering at clinics, eager to learn and help in any way she could.
She completed her Veterinary Technician program at Northern College in 2018 and didn’t stop there. She furthered her education by specializing in Rehabilitation at Northern College in 2019, which also gave her the opportunity to focus on neurology and orthopedics. Before she was at Lakeshore Animal Health Partners, she was working with an orthopedic surgeon making protocols for post-operative care. Now working at Lakeshore Animal Health Partners, she has had the pleasure of working with orthopedic surgeons to help widen her horizon on her abilities in rehabilitation by gaining understanding of specific surgeries, anatomy and movement. Her goal is to continue her studies in 2026 at the University of Tennessee to obtain her full CCRP to help her healing hands grow better.
At home, she embraces the title of a crazy cat lady, living with her 7 cats. Tabitha, Autumn, and Boo at home. Ruben, Griffin, and Pickle, who she has with her parents and now Mac, whom she shares with her partner. Each one has a special place in her heart, and together, they make every day an adventure. When she is not lounging with her kitties, you can find her at a Blue Jays Game, reading on the deck, playing video games and skiing in the winter.
