Anesthesiology

Anesthesiology Department at Toronto Animal Health Partners in North York

Many of the procedures we and our pets undergo require anesthesia, where patients are placed in a controlled and temporary state of unconsciousness. Specialists in the field of anesthesia, or veterinary anesthesiologists, provide this care to our pets. Our anesthesia team works alongside all our other specialists to provide the safest care for your pet while they undergo any procedure.

Toronto Animal Health Partners in North York houses multiparameter monitors, standard-of-care anesthetic ventilators, peripheral nerve stimulators, and an in-house blood gas analyzer. Each patient is evaluated by our anesthesiologist and their primary specialty care clinician. An individualized anesthetic plan is then created that is unique to each cat and dog patient undergoing the anesthetic procedure.
